in the design and layout of their project is very important. This is particularly true for the healthcare sector,
where having a positive qi in the facility could lead to better outcomes for patients and promote good
business results for management.
Feng Shui, which has historically been part of Chinese culture for thousands of years and literally means "Wind-Water" in English, is becoming increasing popular in the western world. In Australia, due to the record levels of immigration from China in recent times, the practice is becoming more widespread. In China there are many buildings and structures which have been constructed to take advantage of locations with good 'qi'. Qi (pronounced 'chee'in English) is a non-physical force which can either be positive (good luck) or negative (bad luck). In the case of good qi, perhaps a successful business and wealth or alternatively, in the case of negative or bad qi, it may bring bad luck.

Taking into account the design, layout of rooms and siting (location) of buildings and structures is very important in Feng Shui to achieve good qi. Poor siting and layout of building can create negative energy and therefore bad qi.
